About Me
Untitled design-10_edited.png

Hi! I’m Nora Comtois, a senior at New York University studying an individualized major in Fashion: Media, Marketing, and Design with a minor in Fashion Studies. My concentration explores the intersection of fashion communication, brand strategy, and creative design. Some of my courses include the Advanced Practicum in Fashion Business, Fashion Trend Forecasting, and Luxury Marketing.

Studying abroad in Paris and Florence broadened my global perspective and strengthened my ability to navigate the international fashion industry. I immersed myself in each city’s fashion culture through Fashion Weeks, backstage work, and exploring various exhibitions, boutiques, and local street style. While in Paris, I advanced my French skills to the Intermediate Level.

Professionally, I've worked as a Sales Associate at Coach, using product knowledge and styling to drive sales and build client relationships. Previously, I was a PR & Social Media Intern at Mazin Jewels, managing 450+ influencer partnerships, designing newsletters, and creating content for a 50k+ audience. I also interned at DOORS NYC supporting inventory and visual merchandising on the showroom and retail floor. Additionally, I gained backstage experience at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week with Rahul Mishra and New York Bridal Fashion Week with Netta BenShabu Elite Couture.

To strengthen my industry knowledge, I’ve completed the Inside LVMH certificate program, focusing on Creation & Branding and Retail & Customer Experience, and I’m currently finishing my certification in Excel for Fashion from the Glam Observer Fashion Academy.

For my extracurriculars, I’m a writer and editor for NYU’s fashion magazines, Vis Major and FFZine. I’m also a member of three fashion clubs: Luxury and Retail Association, Fashion Business Association, and Future Fashion Group.

I also have been a fashion designer for several of NYU’s fashion shows, where I designed, sewed, and styled original collections. With no prior experience, I self-taught skills in garment construction as well as in managing the entire creative process from concept to final product.

The following is a selection of some of the relevant courses I’ve taken during my studies at NYU in New York, Paris, and Florence.
